Warranty Information

All new instrumentation sold by Hitachi Aloka is fully guaranteed for materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of installation.

Warranty service is available during this time 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at no charge.

Hitachi Aloka reserves the right to perform warranty service in its factory or at the customer's site based on the nature of the repair and/or the type of device to be repaired.

Hitachi Aloka's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or, at our discretion, replacing any defective parts without charge if such defects occur during normal service use.

Repairs needed because of the misuse or abuse of the equipment are not covered by this warranty.

A ninety (90) day warranty is provided for all parts and repair service performed on equipment that is out of warranty.


Guaranteed Uptime Program

Hitachi Aloka guarantees that new Hitachi Aloka Diagnostic Ultrasound Systems, which are normally serviced in the field, will have an equipment uptime of 99%.

Uptime is defined as: The time the equipment is available for any level of diagnostic use.

This Uptime guarantee is included at no cost during the first 12-month warranty period and is offered as an option to our full-service agreement.

The time is based on five days per week (Mon-Fri), 9 hours per day (8:00am - 5:00pm EST), and excludes Hitachi Aloka designated holidays. Time is required for personnel to perform scheduled routine maintenance and system upgrades. Gaining access to equipment for preventative maintenance and operator errors are not considered downtime. In addition, reasonable consideration must be allowed for systems used in a mobile environment.
